Job summary

WSP in Canada seeks an experienced Director, Project Governance, BC & Yukon to build and lead the regional PMO. You will drive governance, controls and project delivery excellence across a diverse environmental portfolio, collaborating with operations, finance and senior leadership.

You will oversee Project Controllers and implement scalable tools, training and performance metrics to ensure consistent, profitable delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in project management, governance or program oversight.
• Professional certification (PMP/PgMP/PRINCE2) is an asset.
• Experience leading complex portfolios and cross-functional teams.
• Strong governance, project controls and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to translate data into actionable business insights.

Responsibilities

• Establish a consistent project governance framework across BC & Yukon Earth & Environment.
• Drive adoption of standards, tools and best practices for project execution.
• Oversee portfolio health, identify risks and lead recovery efforts for high-risk projects.
• Lead and develop Project Controllers and Project Control Administrators.
• Build capability through tools, training and knowledge sharing.
• Partner with operations, finance, risk and legal to align delivery with priorities.
• Lead continuous improvement and lessons learned initiatives.
