We are currently hiring for the position of:

DIRECTOR, MARKET PARTNERSHIPS & SALES ENABLEMENT

The Director, Market Partnerships & Sales Enablement is responsible for leading TIFF: The Market’s partnership revenue streams, inclusive of industry, corporate, and philanthropic, while ensuring comprehensive sales enablement across all Market revenue‑generating initiatives, including exhibitor, promotional, event, and screenings sales.

Reporting to the Head of Market, this role works closely with the Director, Market - Direct Sales and TIFF’s Corporate Partnership and Philanthropy Sales Department to drive revenue growth, identify upsell opportunities with existing partners, and develop new strategic relationships.

This role combines hands‑on revenue leadership with sales operations, enablement, and account management, ensuring all Market sales teams are equipped to achieve targets and deliver an exceptional client and partner experience. This role balances strategic leadership with operational execution and ensures Relationship Managers across the Market sales function are fully supported with training, tools, processes, and insights.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Industry, Corporate & Philanthropic Sales
  • Lead and manage revenue generation from industry and corporate partners, philanthropic funders, and sponsorships, with annual targets in the $2M range.
  • Collaborate closely with TIFF’s Corporate Partnerships & Philanthropy team to coordinate on large deals, explore joint opportunities, drive upsells with existing partners, and develop new strategic relationships.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for both new and existing partners, ensuring measurable outcomes and alignment with Market Revenue and Sales objectives.
  • Integrate industry, corporate and philanthropic opportunities into the Market experience, working with programming, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Support the Head of Market in negotiations and proposals for major strategic partnerships.
  • Co‑develop a multi‑year industry, corporate and philanthropic revenue strategy aligned with Market financial sustainability goals.
  • Produce regular performance reporting for the Head of Market and Market leadership, highlighting trends, opportunities, risks, and upsell potential.
  • Provide insights into industry trends, partner needs, and Market revenue opportunities to inform overall sales strategy and integration with TIFF’s broader corporate partnership goals.
Sales Enablement & Operations
  • Lead a Sales Enablement & Operations team that supports Director, Market Sales and Relationship Managers, providing tools, training, pricing/packaging guidance, and sales collateral.
  • Track sales progress across customer segments, including exhibition stands, passes, promotional packages, and sponsorships, and provide insights and forecasts to guide revenue strategy.
  • Serve as the key liaison with Market Admin, Business Ops & Enablement to ensure smooth contracting processes, compliance, and agreement execution.
  • Maintain dashboards, KPIs, and pipeline reporting to inform decision‑making for leadership, Relationship Managers, and partner teams.
  • Ensure the Sales Enablement & Operations team fosters collaboration between Sales and Partnerships, enabling maximum revenue capture.
  • Work closely with the Director, Delegate Experience on ensuring Pass sales vertical is aligned with other sales reporting and operations.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and coach Senior Manager, Corporate Partnerships & Philanthropy, and oversee the Sales Enablement Account Managers.
  • Create a high‑performance, collaborative culture across Market sales, enabling coordinated execution between direct sales, corporate partnerships, and philanthropic initiatives.
  • Ensure sales operations serve as a central coordination hub, enabling efficient handoffs, consistent processes, and strong cross‑functional alignment.
  • Act as a visible representative of TIFF: The Market at key corporate, philanthropic, and industry events to strengthen relationships and support partner satisfaction.
  • Act as a visible representative of the Market at key events, fostering relationships and ensuring sponsor and partner satisfaction.
JOB GRADE & SALARY
  • Job Grade Salary Range/Annually or Rate of pay : $90k - $127k
TARGET CONTRACT DATES

WORK LOCATION
  • Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5
  • Weekly in‑office requirements:
    • Minimum 2 days (1st November – 30th April)
    • Minimum 3 days (1st May – 31st October)
  • Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7‑10 years in revenue strategy, partnerships, sponsorship, or sales leadership within cultural, media, or Industry organizations.
  • Demonstrated success in securing and stewarding significant industry partnerships.
  • Experience developing revenue growth strategies with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience working with global brands and negotiating high‑value deals.
  • Experience building and scaling revenue models from the ground up, including team structures, pricing strategies, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with complex pricing models and forecasting tools.
  • Ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments and manage competing priorities effectively.
