Job summary

Horizon Recruitment is seeking a Director of Procurement to lead and enhance procurement operations for a BC-based, multi-location organization. You will work directly with the CFO to shape strategy, strengthen supplier relationships, and standardize processes across sites.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication with senior stakeholders, and the ability to scale procurement practices as the network grows. Experience in healthcare or multi-location services is a plus.

Qualifications

• Significant procurement and supply chain experience in a large organization.
• Proven ability to lead multi-site procurement across 20+ locations.
• Strong background in sourcing, supplier management, and contracting.
• Experience building procurement policies, processes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement across a large, multi-site organization to support operations and growth.
• Develop strategies, policies and procedures to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Review purchasing practices, identify gaps, and implement improvements.
• Oversee sourcing for medical equipment, healthcare supplies, furniture, food, and facility goods.
• Build supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and address performance issues.
• Partner with site leaders to understand needs and deliver solutions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality and Projects to align purchasing with timelines.
• Establish procurement standards and supplier agreements to control costs and quality.
• Provide leadership and coaching to the procurement team.
• Work with CFO to identify cost savings and optimization opportunities.
• Develop scalable procurement practices to support growth across locations.
