As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for these key functions:

Leadership
  • Collaborate with Council to implement innovative programs enhancing our operations.
  • Partner with Department Managers in Housing, Culture, Health, Education, and Finance/Administration to develop and execute strategic departmental work plans.
  • Strategize, plan, and budget for optimal staffing and operational needs.
  • Provide inspiring leadership and mentorship, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of positive communication and support at all levels, ensuring a vibrant and cohesive work environment.
Community Relations
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of WMFN’s member landscape, including interactions, trends, and future movements.
  • Proactively share insights from community engagement to strategically inform WMFN initiatives.
  • Drive strategic benefits through active member engagement and collaborative efforts.
  • Establish yourself as a community leader, enhancing WMFN’s influence and credibility.
  • Represent WMFN externally with key stakeholders, networks, and media to amplify our mission and reach.
Programs and Administration
  • Develop and implement our annual work plan and budget, steering our administrative vision.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring practices align with our top‑notch procedures, protocols, and priorities.
  • Ensure seamless program implementation by adhering to accounting, funding, administrative, and budget procedures approved by the Chief and Council.
  • Monitor programs and facility management, guaranteeing compliance with all necessary regulations.
Contracts and Funding
  • Spearhead the identification of funding opportunities for WMFN and ensure all contracts are meticulously completed and compliant with funding guidelines.
  • Swiftly authorize departmental funding proposals, maximizing our access to all available opportunities.
