Job summary

Isar Aerospace SE in Canada seeks a Director Launch Operations Canada to build and lead the local operations team for the Spectrum Vehicle launch site in Canso, Nova Scotia. You will establish operational processes, oversee ground operations, and coordinate with the global launch operations team.

During design and build you will act as the main local contact, support permitting and certification, recruit staff, ensure safety and compliance, and drive readiness for flight campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in aerospace, mechanical, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years in launch/ground segment operations or similar.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical or operational teams.
• Experience interacting with regulatory bodies and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the local Launch Operations Canada team and establish site operations.
• Define and implement operational processes for ground and flight operations.
• Coordinate with Isar's global launch operations and site operator interfaces.
• Oversight of permits, certification, and compliance.
• Build staffing plans and hire operational and technical teams.
• Ensure safety, readiness, and documentation for launch campaigns.
