Job description

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Insurance Services to lead a growing commercial insurance advisory team. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who excels in both technical insurance operations and team development.

You will oversee a team of five, expanding to seven by year‑end, and be responsible for workflow design, documentation standards, and fostering cross‑functional collaboration with underwriting, risk, and claims teams.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and mentor a team of insurance advisors and support staff.
• Lead workflow improvements, enforce service standards, and ensure quality client delivery.
• Support complex commercial insurance placements, including property and liability.
• Liaise across underwriting, business development, and risk teams.
• Monitor client needs and market trends to inform service strategy.

What We’re Looking For

• 5–6+ years in commercial insurance brokerage (reciprocal experience a strong asset).
• Solid knowledge of commercial property and liability wordings.
• Proven experience managing people and leading change.
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
• CIP or CAIB preferred.
