Job description

Our valued EdTech client is looking for a Senior Account Manager to own and grow relationships with school districts across North America for an Edtech client!

Permanent full-time role, % remote anywhere in Canada. Semi-regular travel required between Canada and the US.

As the successful candidate, you’ll qualify leads, convert new customers, and manage ongoing relationships to ensure recurring sales and long-term adoption. This is a hands‑on role: you’ll respond to inbound inquiries, conduct outreach to new districts, support administrators and educators through purchasing, and keep our CRM updated. You’ll represent the client at education conferences, connect with district leaders, and help expand our presence in classrooms.

Your Responsibilities
  • Manage inbound leads from teachers, schools, districts and distributors—qualifying opportunities and moving them through the sales cycle.
  • Conduct outreach (email, phone, video calls) to prospective districts to introduce the organization's solutions.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts—ensuring adoption, identifying upsell opportunities, and securing renewals.
  • Support district administrators and educators with product knowledge, pricing, and purchasing processes.
  • Track opportunities, activities, and customer data in the internal CRM to maintain clear visibility into pipeline health.
  • Collaborate with marketing to follow up on campaigns, events, and conference leads.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with key partners and distributors to support overall sales growth.
  • Represent the client at education conferences and events, connecting with school leaders and building long-term partnerships.
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, inside sales, or customer success, ideally with B2B or education customers.
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and retention targets.
  • Strong communication skills—comfortable engaging district administrators by phone, email, or presentations.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple district accounts simultaneously.
  • A natural relationship builder who enjoys helping clients succeed.
  • Willingness and availability to travel within Canada and the U.S. for events and conferences throughout the year.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Hands‑on experience with CRM tools and disciplined about keeping records up to date.
  • Direct experience selling to or working with K–12 school districts is a strong plus.
