Job summary

Clutch is seeking a Director of Financial Reporting to lead the finance team in Canada. You will architect IFRS-compliant reporting, own the close cycle, and drive internal controls in preparation for IPO readiness.

You will manage external audits, design policy frameworks, and partner with Financial Systems leadership on ERP evolution. The role emphasizes ownership, precision, and building a high-performing accounting team.

Qualifications

• CPA with 8-10+ years' progressive accounting leadership.
• Big 4 experience required; subsequent industry experience is an asset.
• Deep manufacturing or complex supply-chain experience: cost accounting, inventory valuation, production labor, and overhead allocation.
• Experience building and leading teams with strong attention to detail and ownership of processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close with timely, accurate financial statements.
• Own IFRS compliance, external audit readiness, and policy/framework design for internal controls.
• Oversee external audits and statutory reporting; manage relationships with auditors and regulators.
• Drive ERP/finance-stack evolution in partnership with Financial Systems leadership (Oracle Fusion preferred).
• Build, mentor, and scale accounting/reporting teams; set clear performance standards.

Job description

• Clutch is looking for a Director, Financial Reporting to step in as a critical leader on our finance team
• Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, you will architect the framework that turns thousands of data points per vehicle into clean, decision-grade financial reporting
• You will take charge of IFRS compliance, external audit readiness, and the design and implementation of a strong internal controls environment ahead of IPO readiness
• You will lead a growing team that loves the craft of accounting as much as you do, taking ownership of the reporting cycle and technical accounting while partnering with Financial Systems leadership to drive ERP evolution
• Build and run the monthly, quarterly, and annual close; deliver accurate financial statements and supplementary financial information on tight deadlines
• Design and implement internal-control, risk-management, and policy frameworks to achieve NI52-109 readiness
• Lead external audits and statutory reporting; manage relationships with auditors and regulators
• Drive ERP/finance-stack evolution in partnership with Financial Systems leadership
• Build, mentor, and scale an accounting/reporting team; set clear performance standards and foster a culture of ownership and precision
• Build and leverage automations and AI to improve efficiency, reduce cost and risk
• Own cost and inventory accounting to support accurate financial statements
