Job summary

Altis in Toronto, Ontario seeks a Director of Finance to join its Senior Leadership Team and shape financial strategy while supporting quality care and services for seniors in the long-term care and non-profit sector.

Reporting to the CEO, you will oversee financial operations, budgeting, reporting, payroll, and government funding, guiding teams and governance interactions with strong communication and collaborative leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive financial administration experience, including senior-level responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in non-profit, healthcare, long-term care, or government-funded environments preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains and QHR payroll systems considered an asset.
• Excellent leadership, communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial operations with accurate reporting, controls, and compliance.
• Oversee payroll, benefits, and financial administration for all staff.
• Collaborate with CEO, Board, and leaders on budgeting, forecasting, audits, and planning.
