We are seeking a visionary, relationship-centered Director of Community Preschool Education (CPE) who will elevate our programming, champion inclusive practices, and strengthen the systems that support children, families, and staff across Edmonton.
This is more than a management role.

You will guide the direction of a high impact early learning program, ensuring children receive exceptional learning experiences and wraparound support.
This includes overseeing intake, assessment, enrollment, classroom programming, and the full scope of Early Childhood Services (ECS) and Program Unit Funding (PUF) services.
As part of your leadership role, you will directly facilitate the learning of five (5) to ten (10) children during each school year. You’ll model high quality instruction, deepen your connection to the work, and help anchor the program’s child centered philosophy.
You will mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team, support Coordinating Teachers with their Professional Growth Plans, and cultivate a culture grounded in collaboration, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement.
You will work closely with Finance, HR, Fund Development, and the Facilitator Team to ensure the program is financially sustainable, well staffed, and aligned with provincial standards.
You will represent Community Options in the early childhood sector, participate in AISCA meetings, foster relationships with families and partners, and stay ahead of emerging trends that impact our work.
