The Director of Clinical Operations, North America, plays a critical leadership role in driving the clinical vision of our organization across our Franchise System. This role balances clinical and operational excellence, supporting both business success and exceptional care outcomes.

As the clinical leader, you will be responsible for setting brand standards for care, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting franchisees, and fostering innovation in service delivery — all while anchoring your work in Nurse Next Door’s purpose of Making Lives Better and core philosophy of Bold Kindness.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Strategy & Leadership
  • Collaborate to drive growth through our annual one page plan initiatives, strategic planning, financial forecasting, and operational initiatives that impact clinical operations.
  • Lead the development and evolution of Nurse Next Door’s clinical processes, programs, and standards across North America.
  • Co-chair the Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) to ensure alignment between clinical best practices and business goals / outcomes.
  • Provide thought leadership on new clinical innovations, programs, and models of care that improve outcomes and drive Wow Customer Experience.
  • Drive revenue growth and improve client outcomes by identifying new business development opportunities (e.g. third party payers).
Franchise Oversight & Regulatory Compliance
  • Support Franchisees in achieving compliance with local, state / provincial, and federal health regulations.
  • Accountable for overseeing licensing, clinical legislation, and industry standards across jurisdictions.
  • Monitor and analyze clinical and business performance metrics to support improvement and accountability.
  • Lead communication of clinical updates, continued education, policy changes, and operational expectations across the Franchise System.
Program Development & Quality Assurance
  • Develop and continuously update clinical policies and procedures to reflect the One Best Way.
  • Support the implementation of technology and EMR adoption through the usage of the platform across the Franchise System, partnering with internal teams to enhance usability and compliance.
  • Oversee the development of quality assurance and risk management frameworks that support safe, reliable care delivery across all Franchisees.
  • Leads the compliance and review of QAPI program results and action plans.
  • Ensure all clinical documentation, audits, and training materials meet accreditation-level standards.
Qualifications
  • Active & in good standing, Registered Nurse License (Canadian or U.S.); ability to work cross-border preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree in Nursing; postgraduate degree in health, business, or leadership (MBA, MSN) is an asset.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership in healthcare, ideally within home care or a franchise model.
  • Deep understanding of both private pay and third party funded opportunities within U.S. and Canadian home care and home health operations (e.g. VA, VIP, medicare advantage, medicaid waiver programs, etc).
  • Demonstrated experience managing performance, leading through influence, and driving organizational change.
  • Experience with EMRs and digital health platforms; Joint Commission knowledge is a plus.
