We are looking for a passionate and committed individual to take on the responsibility of managing care in our seniors' residence in Jonquière. This is a permanent, full-time daytime position (40 hours / week), with every other weekend. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of care and services, supporting a dedicated team, and contributing to a respectful and welcoming environment for our residents.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Permanent, full-time daytime position, 40 hours per week, every other weekend.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct, supervise and mobilize the work of the care staff under his management
  • Perform all other tasks related to his duties
  • Plan human resources and ensure the timely replacement of care staff as needed
  • To provide health and wellness care with the goal of maintaining and restoring health and preventing disease
  • Administration—Ensure that partner files are compliant with corporate standards
  • Management—Create and maintain the necessary protocols for prevention and for the provisioning of appropriate care to the residents
  • Health Care—Carry out clinical assessments of residents and update treatment plans according to their specific needs
  • Create and maintain meticulous notes in the residents Dossier in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ)
  • Ensure good communication as well as medical follow-ups with the vested parties
  • Help maintain the relationship of trust with residents' family and friends as well as with various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)
  • Upon request by the residents doctor or pharmacist, update the residents medical dossiers and prescriptions
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Collect degree in nursing (DEC) or a professional studies diploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing
  • Member of the OIIAQ or the OIIQ
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in nursing with a minimum of 1 year in administration
  • Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
  • Nursing Management Experience

  • Experience in human resources management, an asset
  • Ease in the use of computer tools
