Key Responsibilities:

• Leading, mentoring, and managing the care team to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery
• Overseeing the development and implementation of individualized care plans
• Monitoring care practices and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards
• Promoting a culture of safety, empathy, and respect
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, families, and external partners
• Driving quality improvement initiatives and contributing to organizational growth
• Managing staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations for care team members
• Acting as a key point of contact for residents, clients, and their families regarding care matters

Core Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) Status: Must be currently registered with an Ontario Registered Nurse License
• Educational Background: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN). Additional certifications in Nursing Administration or related fields are an asset
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years as a Director of Care in a long-term care setting; proven experience in nursing management, including supervisory and financial reporting
• Knowledge of Relevant Legislation and Practice:

  • Budgeting and resource management
