You will be a key strategic partner to executive leadership, HR, Safety, and Operations, translating visionary health strategies into tangible outcomes that optimize workforce productivity and foster a culture of sustained excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Define, champion, and oversee the end-to-end occupational health vision and strategy, ensuring robust alignment with corporate objectives, risk management frameworks, and evolving legislative landscapes.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to a multidisciplinary occupational health and wellness team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous professional development.
  • Establish and govern comprehensive frameworks for medical surveillance, proactive injury management, robust fitness-for-work protocols, and effective return-to-work programs, ensuring optimal employee health and productivity outcomes.
  • Manage regulatory compliance, proactively interpreting and integrating federal, provincial, and municipal occupational health and safety legislation, alongside stringent public health and infection control standards, into all operational protocols.
  • Create strategic partnerships with HR, Health & Safety, and other executive leaders to architect and champion integrated health promotion, mental health, and ergonomic strategies that proactively enhance overall workforce well-being and performance.
  • Act as the primary subject matter expert and strategist to executive leadership on complex workplace health risks, advanced policy formulation, and critical incident response protocols, safeguarding organizational reputation and employee welfare.

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in occupational health or employee wellness; including 3+ years in a leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health legislation, disability management, and workplace safety practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and influence organizational strategy.
