Job summary

Xplore Inc. in Markham, Ontario, seeks a Director of Network Development & Operations to lead IP/MPLS, DWDM, and caching engineering, automation, and observability across Core & Transport networks.

You will drive network-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and architectural execution with strong leadership and collaboration. Ideal candidates have 15+ years in large-scale network engineering or DevOps, a Bachelor’s in engineering or CS, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in IP engineering, DWDM engineering automation, caching platforms, or DevOps for large-scale network infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Own detailed IP engineering across BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, segment routing, and routing policy.
• Own DWDM configuration automation, including line-system configuration and optical telemetry integration.
• Own caching platform implementation, including cache node configuration and traffic policies.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for IP/MPLS/DWDM and caching configuration deployment.
• Own telemetry pipelines, dashboards, and observability tooling for Core & Transport.
• Lead post-incident automation improvements to reduce operational risk.
