Director, Money Movement Products - Retail Payments, Canadian Banking

Responsibilities
  • Lead the evolution of the product strategy for debit and money movement products to deepen primacy.
  • Oversee product development and management for the suite of products, solutions, services and features related to Interac Debit, Interac Flash, Interac Direct, Interac etransfer, Visa Debit, Visa Direct, account-based transfers, money in solutions, bill payments and emerging account-based payments solutions.
  • Collaborate with payment network and infrastructure partners and technology companies to deliver products and solutions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client usage drivers and performance; create a roadmap to drive transaction growth.
  • Manage the P&L to grow and optimize the financial performance of the portfolio.
  • Lead a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates the team; foster an inclusive work environment; communicate vision/values/business strategy; manage succession and development planning.
  • Incorporate the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture into day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Ensure effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct and Global Sales Principles; maintain adequate day-to-day business controls to meet obligations related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in payments product strategy and product management
  • Strong understanding of the payments, eCommerce, digital banking, and financial technology landscape
  • Strong strategic thinking, leadership, analytical and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or finance. MBA preferred

Working Conditions
  • This role is located at our downtown Toronto, ON, Canada office. Standard office-based environment; non-standard hours may be required to meet business objectives. Limited travel required.
