Overview

Our client – a highly respected and well-established group of companies – is seeking a Director, IT Business Solutions to lead transformative IT strategy and execution within one of its divisions. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for an experienced, strategic IT executive who thrives in fast-evolving environments and knows how to align technology with core business goals.

In this role, you will shape the division’s digital future – driving innovation, aligning enterprise-wide IT systems, and modernizing infrastructure to optimize performance, security, and growth. You’ll work closely with division leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to build and execute a forward-thinking roadmap that supports long-term business success.

Responsibilities
  • Design and execute a division-wide digital transformation roadmap that aligns with enterprise strategic objectives and supports long-term business goals.
  • Manage IT systems, assets, and infrastructure to ensure efficiency, reliability, and continuous optimization. Oversee IT services through a centralized shared services model tailored to meet divisional needs.
  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, ensuring seamless alignment between IT initiatives and organizational objectives. Effectively communicate the value of technology investments across all levels of the division.
  • Build and mentor high-performing IT teams, cultivating a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion robust cybersecurity measures and privacy controls, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations while safeguarding operational integrity and business continuity.
  • Lead critical technology initiatives from planning through delivery, keeping projects on time, on budget, and within scope.
  • Identify and implement new technologies and systems that enhance efficiency, productivity, and competitive advantages.
  • Promote enterprise standards and governance, including the use of shared services models and business architecture best practices.
Qualifications

You are a seasoned IT leader with over 10 years of progressive experience, including at least 5 years in senior management roles, ideally within the supply chain or agriculture industries. A strategic thinker and passionate change leader, you excel at aligning technology initiatives with business objectives to drive meaningful transformation.

You have a proven track record of building and leading diverse, high-performing IT teams in complex corporate environments. Your expertise includes managing enterprise risk, ensuring business continuity, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to achieve organizational goals.

You hold an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, with a master’s degree preferred. You bring recognized professional certifications such as Business Relationship Management Professional and PROSCI Change Practitioner, with Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly regarded.

Additional credentials like Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), ITIL, COBIT, and TOGAF certifications are considered strong assets.
