Job summary

British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM) invites applications for Director, Intake & Investigations. This senior role reports to the Executive Director, overseeing intake, assessment, early resolution, and investigations for four nursing designations and registered midwives.

You will drive program direction, risk management, and quality assurance, ensuring trauma‑informed, culturally safe, and proportionate regulatory processes across the complaints continuum.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing, healthcare, or counselling; LLB/JD or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develops operational plans for intake and investigation programs with prioritised service standards and accountability.
• Oversees risk-based assessment, prioritisation, resolution and investigation of complaints and reports.
• Leads policy development to support intake staff and ensures alignment with regulatory best practices.
• Provides leadership embedding Indigenous cultural safety and anti-racism in processes.
• Manages complex or high-risk regulatory matters and collaborates with external counsel as needed.
