Job summary

BGRE is seeking a Director of Construction for an Edmonton, AB data center campus. This role leads the owner-side construction, coordinating GC/EPC, designers, tenants, utilities and key vendors, with a focus on schedule, cost and safety.

The position requires senior on-site leadership, experience with mission-critical facilities, and strong collaboration across design, procurement and project controls. Winter planning and tenant-interface are essential components of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required or equivalent.
• P.Eng. registration with APEGA strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of construction leadership on large mission-critical projects.
• Experience with owner-side construction delivery models and data centers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as BGRE’s senior onsite construction lead, coordinating with Owner, GC/EPC, designers, tenants, utilities and vendors.
• Lead EPC/GC procurement and support award recommendations with technical reviews and vendor qualification.
• Provide weekly construction reporting, progress, risks and two-week look-ahead to project leadership.
• Coordinate tenant fit-out and ensure alignment with approved budget, schedule and change-control processes.
