Position Title

Director, Franchise Operations - Western Canada (R-130763)

Location Preference: Calgary, Canada

Other Location: Vancouver, Canada

  • Applicants must currently reside in, or be willing to relocate to, either Calgary or Vancouver, Canada .

Travel: 50-75% with an expectation to be in the office 3 days a week

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Operations or Management with a Master's degree is preferred.

Preferred Experience: 5+ years in CPG organization responsible for direct sales, key account or franchise management with P&L responsibility.

Position Overview

The Director Franchise Operations serves as the primary point of contact representing the total region portfolio of Western Canada (Vancouver, Interior BC, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba Market Units) and will steward the development of our brands with primary accountability of growing SOVI (share of visual inventory), volume, revenue, share and transactions through collaborating and partnering with Bottler GMs and commercial team.

We are looking for candidates with bottling or general management experience that can build relationships and execute our strategies across our network. Must be mobile and will be required to work from regional offices weekly to ensure alignment with key stakeholders.

*What You'll Do for Us*

  • Responsible for weekly/monthly performance management with GMs and other key stakeholders, which includes reporting on commercial metrics (SOVI, CDE, NNO, tie-ins), volume, revenue, share, and transaction metrics.
  • Monitor performance versus execution objectives, re-plan as necessary and provide feedback to key stakeholders. Also, manages discretionary budgets based on regional needs.
  • Executes the commercial strategy and plans with franchise (bottling partners) owners for local market execution.
  • Act with agility when needed to collaboratively build contingency plans that prioritize key initiatives to ensure we deliver annual business plan performance.
  • Assess and change current processes, scorecards and business routines to increase effectiveness and efficiencies to achieve the annual business plan.
  • Work with franchise commercial manager to steward the planning process, ensuring all customer plans are included.
  • Be the SME for Large Store, Small Store and FSOP Channel Plans and ensure all customer plans are clearly communicated and achievable within the planning process to ensure end-to-end execution.
  • Provides Bottler performance feedback to Franchise Leadership 'serving as voice of themarket.'
  • Monitor's market conditions and reports competitive activity to management, Bottler and local associates to understand program effectiveness and any implementation barriers.
  • Work with Commercial Manager to support the development of commercial stewardship bi-monthly planning stewardship.
What You’ll Need

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Operations or Management with a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5 or more years in CPG organization responsible for direct sales, key account or franchise management with P&L responsibility.
  • Must have experience as a business partner with direct Bottler experience in the Food & Beverage industry.
  • Must have experience with annual business planning, forecasting, customer and distributor management and demonstrate a track record for delivering positive volume and revenue results.
  • Must possess excellent relationship building skills, as well as strategic leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrate excellent influencing, selling, negotiating, relationship building and storytelling abilities.
  • Demonstrate strong time management capabilities, attention to details, the ability to prioritize quickly and take risks as well as thrive in ambiguity.
  • An understanding of channel marketing, syndicated marketing research and competitive analysis and how to utilize this knowledge to drive sales are ideal.
  • Strong data literacy, problem-solving and analytical skills are ideal.

Pay Range:$146,000 - $171,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
