Job summary

Kinaxis is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to guide budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. You will develop enterprise-wide models, drive KPI dashboards, and partner with cross-functional leaders to support growth and efficiency.

Lead a global FP&A organization, mentor teams, and transform finance through automation and AI-enabled insights. Strong communication with executives is essential.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA/CFA) or MBA.
  • 10+ years FP&A, investment banking or corporate finance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-wide planning across businesses and regions.
  • Develop financial models and scenarios for multi-year projections.
  • Manage management reporting and present to senior leadership.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting cycles and strategic consulting.

Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teampartners with leaders across the company to help drivebusiness decisions.They workwithstakeholdersto highlightinsights and analysis needed to make data-driven decisions thathelpfuel growth and operational excellence.TheDirector,Financial Planning & Analysis,is a trusted advisor andsubject matter expertwhobrings a depth and breadth of knowledge and expertise in leading, directing,and developing the overall operations and deliveryofrevenueforecasting,consolidated forecasts and reporting, external metrics, and evolvingfinancialplanningstrategies within Kinaxis. This role is ideal for aforward-thinking finance leader who combines deep financialexpertisewith strong business acumen, operational excellence, and a passion for transforming finance through data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.


Partnering closely with theVP, Financial Planning & AnalysistheDirector,Financial Planning & Analysisis responsible foreffectivemanagement and continuous improvementof budgeting and forecasting cyclesandprovidesstrategic financial consultation and support to the business.

What you will do

Business Performance & FP&A Excellence

  • Build an integrated, enterprise-wide planning process across business units and regionsto drive businessobjectivesand long-term growth.

  • Develop key financial models and scenarios to evaluate strategic initiatives and investments, with a view to multi-year projections.

  • Lead scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and financial modeling to support strategic decisions.

  • Manage and drive management reporting – analyze financial results, distill and synthesize issues and communicate key messages (including business risks) to the senior leadership team.

  • SupportBoard reporting, executive presentations, and investor reporting and communications.

  • Deliver actionable financial insights that influence investment priorities, resource allocation, pricing, and growth initiatives.

  • Demonstrated outstanding communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear business insights.

  • Develop KPIs and performance dashboards that providetimelyvisibility into business health.

  • Foster strong partnerships acrossthe organization includingProduct, Sales, Corporate Functions and other teams.

Finance Transformation & Technology

  • Modernize FP&A through automation, AI-enabled analytics, and scalable planning technologies.

  • Propose and implementcontinuous improvement ofstrategies, processes, systems,and policies toenhance the speed and effectiveness of forecasting and reporting.

  • Establish best-in-class planning processes, governance, and data quality.

  • Champion the use of modern planning platforms and business intelligence tools.

Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global FP&A organization.

  • Create a culture of accountability, curiosity, continuous improvement, and business partnership.

  • Lead organizational change and finance transformation initiatives across a global business, including exploringadditionalareas to implement AI initiatives.

What we are looking for

  • Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.

  • Professional accounting designation(CPA or legacy CA, CMA or CGA), CFA,or MBA.

  • 10+ years ofprogressive experience inFP&A,investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance, ideally with some experiencein a high-tech, global, publicly traded organization.

  • Experience leading teams with direct and indirect reports.

  • Demonstrated financial acumenandexpertisein data and financial modeling and scenario planning.

  • Advanced analytical, problem solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to coordinate input from multiple sources to develop impactful recommendations to achieve results for the business.

  • An articulate and professional communicator with the ability to provide clear, concise messaging to multiple audiences and present complex information across the organization.

  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills and the ability to prioritize business requirements appropriately through a collaborative partnership approach.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate input from multiple complex sources, conduct environmental scanning, and sort through ambiguity to develop impactful recommendations for business decisions.

  • Deep and broad knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting, including oversight of the annual financial planning process and related best practices.

  • Exceptional financial modelling skills with great attention to detail and the ability to distill complex issues into structured, actionable frameworks.

  • Highly proficient in Exceland PowerPoint,particularly forfinancialmodeling, financialanddata analysis, and presenting business cases or transaction summaries.

  • Ability toapply a structuredproblem-solvingframework to ambiguous situations and drive decisions under tight timelines.

  • Significant experiencedeveloping business cases supported by financial analysis and modeling, with the ability tocollaborate cross-functionallyacrossthe organization.
