The Director of Finance is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial health and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position manages full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, accounting operations, management reporting, pricing strategies, and people leadership to support business growth and profitability.

About the Opportunity

Full Cycle Accounting

• Oversee all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal policies.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Accounting Operations

• Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee treasury functions, cash flow management, and banking relationships.

Management Reporting

• Provide executive leadership with insightful financial analysis and dashboards.
• Develop KPIs and performance metrics to monitor business performance.
• Support strategic decision-making with scenario planning and forecasting.

Pricing & Profitability

• Lead pricing strategy development to optimize margins and competitiveness.
• Partner with sales, marketing, and operations to evaluate product/service profitability.
• Conduct cost analysis and recommend adjustments to pricing models.

People Management

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide coaching, career development, and performance management for direct reports.
• Align team goals with organizational objectives to drive results.

About You

• CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional designation preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA is an asset.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, financial systems, and ERP platforms.
• Proven track record in people management and team development.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Pay Rate

$50.00 / Hour
