Job summary

National Bank of Canada seeks a Director, Fiduciary Services to partner with affluent clients, lead trust administration, and drive growth within the Fiduciary and Philanthropic Services team. You will build lasting client relationships, communicate progress, and contribute to a culture of excellence and innovation.

You will manage a small team, report to the VP, and collaborate with NB Trust to deliver specialized advisory services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Professional designation such as Notary, Tax Specialist, or Financial Planner.
  • Significant experience in client service and in an advisory or subject matter expert role.
  • Availability to travel occasionally based on client needs.
  • Strong organizational and priority management skills.
  • Knowledge of or experience in estate settlement or trust administration (an asset).
  • Knowledge of investments or financial planning (an asset).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the rigorous administration of client files and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive business development activities with targeted sectors such as Private Banking 1859, NB Financial, and the Personal Banking Network.
  • Deliver presentations and training sessions to internal partners to support asset retention initiatives.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including the digital transformation of business processes.
  • Prepare reports and regular communications for clients.

Your Role

Your Team

Within National Bank Trust, you will report to the Vice President, Fiduciary and Philanthropic Services and manage a team of two highly experienced industry specialists. You will contribute to the sector’s mission of providing fiduciary services to individuals and specialized advisory services to affluent clients.

Prerequisites

  • Professional designation such as Notary, Tax Specialist, or Financial Planner.
