About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Corporate and Financial Systems to lead the strategy, design, and optimization of our ERP, HCM, and related financial systems. This role will oversee a team responsible for driving efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement across corporate services and three operating shipyards. Reporting to the VP of Business Technology Solutions, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to implement system upgrades, integrations, and business process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, development, and implementation of corporate and financial systems.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Manage ERP optimization, system upgrades, integrations, and user security models.
- Establish and communicate standards for financial systems usage and compliance.
- Mentor and lead a systems team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
- Develop training programs for end-users and support organizational change initiatives.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a professional designation in IT management or equivalent (CPA, PMP, ITIL considered an asset).
- 2–5 years of leadership experience in corporate and financial systems roles.
- Proven background managing ERP transformations (Oracle, JD Edwards, IFS).
- Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting standards (ASPE/GAAP), and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience in manufacturing or marine/transportation sectors is an asset.
