Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in infrastructure service delivery with leadership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of cloud IaaS environments; certifications in GCP and Azure are assets.
  • Experience in a 24x7 production environment across multiple clouds.

Responsibilities

The Director of Cloud Infrastructure Operations is a dynamic, service-oriented leader responsible for guiding infrastructure support activities within the IGM Technology organization. The candidate should have management experience, a deep understanding of infrastructure operations, and experience in a hybrid/multi-vendor environment. They will address technology needs of Advisors, Clients, and Business, ensuring a seamless experience.

This role requires team leadership, problem-solving skills, and a focus on continuous service improvement. The candidate should foster collaboration and demonstrate calm leadership under pressure. A service-oriented technology professional with excellent logical and problem-solving skills is ideal.

DUTIES INCLUDE
  • Lead a team managing a critical multi-cloud, multi-vendor environment with high availability requirements.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop team members, overseeing hiring, motivation, retention, performance, and development.
  • Ensure effective monitoring of service availability, responsiveness, health, security, and system integrity, including maintenance, patching, and vulnerability management.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop strategic initiatives, plan staffing, and manage budgets.
  • Drive support methodologies and processes in collaboration with Engineering and Architecture teams.
  • Manage relationships with third-party service providers, tracking SLA adherence and service improvements.
  • Support infrastructure projects with emphasis on transition to production and support models.
  • Establish and refine incident and problem management processes, including root cause analysis and outage response.
  • Participate in infrastructure security and compliance audits.
  • Research, test, and implement innovative ideas and trends for cloud and infrastructure support.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 5–7 years of experience in infrastructure service delivery, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in a 24x7 production environment across multiple clouds or data centers, and with third-party providers.
  • Knowledge of cloud IaaS environments; certifications in GCP and Azure are assets.
  • Knowledge of ITSM or ITOM activities; certifications are assets.
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform and incident trend analysis.
  • Understanding of IT project management principles.
  • Proficiency in remote work capabilities.
  • Ability to remain stationary for long periods.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills, with a strong commitment to quality service.
  • On-call availability required.
Asset Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, Azure, Networking, Palo Alto, DNS/DHCP, Active Directory, Linux, Datadog.
  • Experience in Canadian Financial industry.
  • Bilingual (English, French preferred).
