Job summary

GTAA in Toronto is seeking a Director, Business Finance to lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for designated units and corporate functions. You will build and mentor a finance team, partner with senior leaders, and deliver insights that translate priorities into viable plans.

The role requires a CPA/CFA, a decade of finance experience, strong modelling skills, and excellence in communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; MBA/CFA/CPA asset.
CPA and/or CFA designation.
10+ years in progressive finance roles with FP&A leadership.
Experience building planning, forecasting, and reporting frameworks.
Ability to provide executive-level financial advice in capital-intensive environments.
Advanced financial modelling and driver-based planning.
Proficient Excel (Power Query/Power Pivot) and Power BI.

Responsibilities

Lead complete financial planning cycle: budgets, forecasts, and multi-year plans.
Partner with business leaders to translate strategies into financially viable plans.
Provide insights on resource allocation, cost optimization, and investments.
Develop driver-based models for revenue, costs, and capital programs.
Deliver timely reporting and executive narratives for leadership and Board.
Standardize reporting frameworks and KPIs across areas.
Collaborate with Analytics and IT to automate reporting and ensure single source of truth.
Improve forecast accuracy, controls, and post-performance analysis.
Support capital planning and enterprise decision-making.
Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
