Lifemark Health Group, a leader in physiotherapy and rehabilitation is seeking a Business Development Director – Acquisitions to play a pivotal role in driving the organization’s growth by identifying, engaging, and building trusted relationships with clinic owners who align with our mission and values and are open to strategic acquisition. Success in this role requires a long‑term, relationship‑driven approach: initiating contact, nurturing meaningful connections over time, and ultimately guiding owners toward a partnership with Lifemark.

You will be instrumental in expanding Lifemark’s network of partners, fostering strong professional relationships, and directly impacting the growth and success of the organization through completed acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deal Origination & Pipeline Management:
    • Identify and qualify potential acquisition targets across assigned regions.
    • Build and maintain a robust pipeline using CRM tools and market intelligence.
    • Conduct high-quality market research to support strategic acquisition decisions.
  • Relationship Development & Influence:
    • Build trusted, long‑term relationships with business owners, advisors, and intermediaries.
    • Act as a persuasive, credible advocate for Lifemark in discussions with business owners considering a sale.
    • Attend industry conferences, association events, and networking forums to expand your network and Lifemark’s presence.
  • Transaction Support & Negotiation:
    • Collaborate with Corporate Development and finance teams to support due diligence and deal structuring.
    • Lead preliminary discussions and negotiate term sheets, guiding prospects from interest to LOI.
    • Ensure smooth handoff from origination to integration teams post‑acquisition.
  • Brand & Market Leadership:
    • Represent Lifemark professionally and consistently as a market leader in healthcare acquisitions.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership regarding market trends, potential targets, and competitive positioning.
Qualifications & Experience
  • A minimum of 8 years of business development experience, with at least 5 years focused on mergers, acquisitions, or strategic partnerships.
  • Proven track record in deal origination, building pipelines, and influencing senior business owners to transact.
  • Strong executive presence and confidence in engaging with business owners, intermediaries, and C‑suite professionals.
  • Experience in healthcare, dental, physiotherapy, veterinary, or related professional services sectors is highly preferred.
  • Self‑motivated, highly organized, and able to prioritize multiple high‑impact projects.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time within Canada.
  • Established professional network in the healthcare or related industry is an asset.
