The Talent and Employee Experience Technology team plays a critical role in enabling Global HR Technology to deliver against its mission to meet all operational commitments to IT and HR and driving strategic priorities forward.

As a Director and Head of Talent and Employee Experience Technology, your role is to lead and provide oversight to critical payroll projects. You will ensure technology is designed, tested, and delivered timely and accurately while ensuring compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to innovate and deliver on critical projects. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, project management skills and a deep understanding of payroll to drive a successful project.

In this role you will:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the implementation of Talent and Employee Experience technology projects, initiatives and systems.
  • Create, manage, influence and execute 3-5 year technology roadmaps for all areas of responsibility.
  • Manage project budget of over $10MM and operating budget of $2MM.
  • Provide leadership and support to a team of technologists in the design and build of new HR technology solutions. Manage Executive stakeholders. Partner with other lines of business to deliver new technology.
  • Lead a team of IT professionals located in Toronto and Bogotá to deliver the above initiatives.
  • Work with third‑party vendors to develop technical solutions and ensure vendors meet project expectations and contractual agreements.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of project processes, decisions, and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards as it relates to payroll and technology.
  • Identify potential project and operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years’ work experience in a leadership role in HR technology or operations.
  • Deep understanding of payroll systems and technology.
  • Minimum of 7+ years experience working with SAP SuccessFactors and other HR workflow and case management technologies through leading projects or HR technology operations.
  • Project management experience with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid project methodologies.
  • Understanding of integrating payroll systems with other ERP for seamless data flow and process integration.
  • Understanding of IT governance frameworks and cybersecurity best practices to ensure security of payroll systems and data.
