Summary of job description
- Lead a team of fatigue and damage tolerance engineers through certification/validation and production/commissioning
- Manage and mentor fatigue and damage tolerance engineers to ensure an engaged and competent milestone-focused team
- Coordination of certification activities with the relevant Certification Delegate(s) • Manage the completion of fatigue and damage tolerance analyses and reports
- Composite repair program development and planning
- Planning and execution of post-TC testing and analysis activities
- Work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams to maintain and refine cross-functional interfaces with other TPIs in the program, the certification team, testing and manufacturing organizations, and external suppliers and customers
- Manage and provide updates on the IPT schedule, cost estimates, risks and staffing requirements
- Personnel management of activities such as conducting performance reviews, approving workforce, approving travel, and posting/filling job applications based on resource requests
Minimum required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical, aerospace or related engineering field required.
- Job Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in structural analysis
- Proven leadership and teamwork skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with management and customers.
- Preferred Skills
- Experience as a technical manager or supervisor preferred
- Effective analytical problem-solving skills
- Able to learn and work with software tools
- Experience with repairs and composite structures
- Experience in fatigue analysis
