Responsibilities

  • Direct supervisor of a team of directors.
  • Approving the hiring of positions within the farming department.
  • Ensuring all cities are staffed and fully equipped for operations.
  • Making predictions for staffing and equipment.
  • Supervising training and onboarding of chief farmers.
  • Supervision of quality control in all cities.
  • Human Resources manager in the farming department.
  • Supporting employee needs and benefits.
  • Organizing company-wide employee events.
  • Supervisory role in procurement and expansion.
  • Managing technological tools related to company infrastructure.
  • Working with admin team for payroll management.
  • Supervising and approving employee contracts.
  • Ensuring infrastructure safety and security.
Job description

Roles and responsibilities :

Direct supervisor of a team of directors

Hiring and staffing :
  • Approving the hiring of positions within the farming department.
  • Ensuring all cities are staffed and fully equipped to run our operations in time for the growing season.
  • Making predictions for staffing, equipment purchasing, and intercity dispatch of goods.
  • Purchasing approval authority for orders: expenses over $100.
  • Supervising training and onboarding of chief farmers & urban farming coordinators.
  • Supervision of quality control in all cities.
  • Human Resources manager in the farming department of all cities.
Human Resources :
  • Supporting employee needs and benefits for all employees throughout the company.
  • Supporting directors of farming and client experience with training and onboarding.
  • Organizing company-wide employee events.
Procurement & expansion :
  • Supervisory role in the procurement & expansion department.
  • Supervisory role in the implementation & standardization of supplier relationships and supply chain logistics.
Quality Control :
  • Safety and quality inspections across all cities.
  • Problem-solving & analysis.
  • Traveling to various cities across North America to ensure standardization of production & uphold company culture, vision, and values.
Technology :
  • Managing technological tools such as permissions and access to the company's Google Drive, work email creation, and overall company infrastructure across all cities.
Admin :
  • Working directly with the admin team for payroll approval & management.
  • Supervising and approving the creation of employee contracts.
  • Benefit plan administration.
Infrastructure & safety :
  • Ensuring infrastructure safety & security.
  • Ensuring the company has the necessary infrastructure to operate in each city.
  • Main point of contact for infrastructure & safety concerns across all cities.
  • Managing MicroHabitat insurance policies alongside the Administrative manager.
  • Filing insurance claims.
