Job summary

TD Direct Investing is seeking a data-driven intern/co-op to support strategic insights and analysis. You will work with a team to drive client engagement and growth, handling data extraction, analysis, and presentation of findings for executive audiences.

Collaboration with Wealth, Marketing and Phone Channel teams is core to the role. You will contribute to ongoing reporting, process improvements, and documentation, while leveraging SQL, Python, Alteryx, and Tableau tools to deliver actionable

Reporting to Senior Manager, Strategic Insights & Analysis, and working alongside a team of analysts, this role will help drive and support TD Direct Investing's strategic client engagement and acquisition initiatives in analytical, process development, and execution capacities. This role will primarily focus on providing data-driven insights and decision support to various business initiatives, acquiring data in support of such work, as well as helping to develop robust processes and procedures, and executing thereon.

Key Accountabilities Include

• Perform and leverage DI's client segmentation to create and support targeted organic growth initiatives, client engagement tactics, and business value proposition enhancements
• Prepare structured data analyses, often in time-sensitive circumstances, and be able to summarize key insights into a coherent, concise communication suitable for executive consumption.
• Collaborate with partners in Data & Analytics teams across Wealth, Marketing, and Phone Channel to understand complex business issues and develop innovative data-driven insights and solutions.
• Support the Senior Manager, Strategic Insights & Analysis in the execution and control of regular reporting, campaign fulfillment, and non-standard pricing processes, ensuring proper documentation.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement (through process improvements, automation, improved documentation, etc.)

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of and familiarity or hands-on experience with self-directed investing platforms
• Experience with data extraction, manipulation, and visualization tools (e.g. SQL, Python, Alteryx, Tableau) preferred
• Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint, including experience developing business documents and leadership presentations with clear, compelling communications
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
