Job summary

Manitoba Hydro invites graduates to join its Digital & Technology Career Development Program in Winnipeg, MB. The program features rotations across Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Digital Transformation, Cloud Enablement, and more, spanning approximately 24 months as you transition from academia to a professional setting.

You will work on leading-edge technologies in a collaborative team, with opportunities to touch critical systems in the energy sector and contribute to Manitoba Hydro’s future

Qualifications

  • Degree from an Accredited Post-Secondary University in the fields of Science, Computer Science, Data Science, or Applied Computer Science.
  • Diploma from an Accredited Post-Secondary College in Computer & Information Systems Technology and/or Technology Management.
  • Equivalent degree or diploma.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a 24-month Digital & Technology Career Development Program with rotations across the landscape.
  • Engage in work assignments to transition from academia to professional business environment.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to develop leading-edge technologies and systems in the energy sector.

Education

We are seeking qualified students who graduated within the last year or are graduating by April 2027.

Manitoba Hydro's Digital & Technology team is helping to drive an exciting evolution for the company and is actively recruiting for our Career Development Program. There has never been a more exciting time to join Manitoba Hydro's team of digital and technology experts as the company begins to implement a long-term vision that will transform Manitoba Hydro into the utility of the future: modern, customer-centric, and positioned to thrive in a rapidly changing energy landscape.

Our Program consists of a variety of rotations within the Digital & Technology landscape over a period of approximately 24 months. While employed in this Program, trainees will be given work assignments that will assist them in their transformation from an academic environment to professional business environment.

Along the way, you'll touch and develop leading edge technologies and systems in the energy sector with license to innovate and solve problems both independently and as part of a diverse team, developing your skills for a future professional career.

Qualifications:
  • Degree from an Accredited Post-Secondary University in the following fields of Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Computer Science; or
  • Diploma from an Accredited Post-Secondary College in the field of Computer and Information Systems Technology and/or Technology Management; or
  • Equivalent Degree or Diploma.
Salary Range

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $30.32-$40.63 Hourly, $58,095.96-$77,854.66 Annually.

Both the Digital & Technology Career Development Program and the Indigenous Digital & Technology Career Development Program will determine the number of positions we are hiring for each program.
