Job summary
The Toronto Police Service is seeking a passionate Software Developer to join the Digital Project Team, focusing on Microsoft Power Platform and modern web solutions. You will design, build and enhance digital experiences, collaborating with police staff, community partners and vendors to turn user needs into reliable software.
Applicants should have university degree in CS or related field and hands-on enterprise experience with Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse, plus Cloud deployment
Qualifications
- University or College Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
- Hands-on enterprise experience with Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse.
- Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with various data sources.
- Experience working with cloud-based solutions and cloud deployment.
- Experience integrating with APIs, Content Management System and CRM.
- Some familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Experience with UI responsive frameworks such as Bootstrap.
- Experience working with a team of developers and version control management tools.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Knowledge of accessibility compliance requirements (AODA) and API design.
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, tests, and documents digital solutions (web, mobile, and platform).
- Collaborates with citizens, business partners, police officers, vendors and colleagues to understand user needs, ideate solutions and validate those with users.
- Mentors junior team developers with technical guidance and may coordinate assignments.
- Leads a triage team to evaluate, prioritize and assign the resolution of defects.
- Provides system support for complex existing systems; analyzes and corrects problems.
- Evaluates Requests for Proposals and development tools; assists with design and implementation.
