Job description
Digital Merchandiser II

The Digital Merchandiser on our Promotions and Events team plays a hands‑on role in delivering Buy Canada’s most visible promotional moments, including Black Friday, Boxing Day, and major events throughout the year.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in an eCommerce retail or ad agency environment who enjoys working through planning, execution, and optimization. You will own defined digital merchandising workstreams, use data and insights to inform decisions, and collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver cohesive customer experiences across digital, marketing, and in‑store touchpoints.

In this role, the successful candidate is needed to be in the greater Vancouver, BC area, where we practice a remote‑first working model, leveraging in‑person interactions for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead planning and execution for assigned digital merchandising workstreams within large‑scale promotional events.
  • Translate event objectives into customer‑first digital experiences and journeys within defined areas of ownership.
  • Build, update, and optimize landing pages and promotional content using e‑commerce and content‑management tools, ensuring strong quality assurance.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with marketing, creative, category teams, retail operations, buyers, marketplace and analytics to align digital and in‑store elements, including eNewsletters, social content, and store signage.
  • Monitor performance during events and programs, making in‑flight optimizations where appropriate.
  • Use analytics and reporting tools to assess customer behavior and performance, identify opportunities, and contribute post‑event insights.
  • Support ongoing and always‑on programs that connect customers to great deals and the latest technology, contributing to testing, iteration, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in digital merchandising, campaign management, e‑commerce, or integrated marketing, gained in an eCommerce retail, ad agency, or brand‑side environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with content management systems and analytics or reporting tools like Content Stack, Adobe Analytics, Algolia and Power BI.
  • Experience supporting large‑scale campaigns or promotional events in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail, with a strong focus on execution quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence partners without direct authority.
  • Analytical and curious mindset, using data to inform decisions and drive continuous optimization.
  • Passion for building great customer experiences across digital and in‑store touchpoints.
Whyyou’lllove it here:
  • Employee discounts on awesome tech from day one
  • Flexible health benefits and wellness program
  • Training programs to build new and transferable skills
