Digital Marketing Specialist

The Canadian Brewhouse opened its first restaurant in 2001, in Edmonton, Alberta. By adding awesome talent to our team, serious dedication and persistence, and keeping the guest in mind, we’ve grown to 47 Canadian Brewhouses, 1 Canadian Icehouse, 4 Banquet Bars, 40 Plantlife Cannabis dispensaries, 7 Ribeye Butcher Shops, and our newest addition The Italian Bakery's Tesoro!

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing and optimizing digital marketing campaigns. This role focuses on digital performance, audience engagement, tracking, and channel growth for our retail and hospitality brands. You will manage the technical and creative execution of digital marketing initiatives — ensuring the right message reaches the right audience at the right time — while continuously improving results through data and insights.

Key Responsibilities
Digital Campaign Execution
  • Build, publish, and optimize digital content across websites, Google My Business profiles and internal digital screens.
  • Execute promotional campaigns through CMS updates, landing pages, and digital banners while focusing on SEO best practices.
  • Ensure brand consistency and accuracy across all digital touchpoints.
  • Conduct digital QA (checking links, images, pricing, tracking, copy accuracy).
Google Ads Management
  • Build and manage paid search and display campaigns.
  • Monitor pacing, budgets, CPC/CPA, CTR, and ROI.
  • Recommend optimizations to improve performance.
  • Collaborate on creative needs, landing page improvements, and ad extensions.
GA4 Analytics & Reporting
  • Create dashboards and reports to track traffic, engagement, conversions, and digital campaign performance.
  • Set up and maintain UTM tagging for accurate tracking.
  • Analyze user behaviour and provide insights to improve future campaigns.
  • Identify issues with tracking, conversion paths, or attribution.
Social & Content Support
  • Schedule and publish content across paid social platforms (Meta and Reddit).
  • Support performance insights for paid social campaigns.
  • Optimize posts for reach, engagement, and conversion.
  • Report on all ad campaigns and provide insight for future campaigns as required based on metrics.
Email & SMS Support
  • Schedule and publish content across email campaigns when needed.
  • Support performance insights for email campaigns.
Continuous Optimization
  • Monitor industry trends, platform updates, SEO best practices, and digital tools.
  • Test new ideas to improve engagement and conversion.
  • Apply learnings from analytics to future campaigns.
Skills and Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, or related fields.
  • Hands‑on experience with CMS platforms, Google Ads, and GA4.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising fundamentals and analytics.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate insights clearly.
  • Knowledge of SEO, UTM parameters, tagging, and digital QA best practices.
  • Solid copywriting, editing, and digital layout skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced retail and hospitality marketing environment.
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
  • Experience with loyalty and email platforms or CRM systems.
  • Basic HTML/CSS for email or landing page adjustments.
  • Experience with marketing automation workflows.
