Covenant House Vancouver is seeking a Digital Marketing Coordinator to join its Marketing, Communications, and Philanthropy teams. The role focuses on informing and executing marketing strategies, creating content for digital platforms, and strengthening donor communications to support fundraising and brand.

You will plan and track campaigns across social media, email, and websites, collaborate with teams, analyze performance data, and stay current with digital trends.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing or related field.
  • Experience managing paid digital advertising campaigns (Meta Ads, Google Ads).
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and content development across digital channels.
  • Familiarity with analytics, reporting, and platform updates.
  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and track online campaigns across social media, email, and websites.

Proof of vaccination status will be required prior to your start date.About Covenant House VancouverSince 1997, Covenant House Vancouver has provided relentless support for youth experiencing, or at-risk of experiencing, homelessness. We provide support to young people age 16 to 24 who have experienced a wide range of early life and ongoing, complex trauma; including physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect. Our purpose is to serve all youth, with absolute respect and unconditional love, to help youth experiencing homelessness, and provide a safe and supportive environment for all youth in need.Working at Covenant House will be one of the most meaningful things that you’ll do in your life. However, you will be confronted with significant issues in this work and frankly, this work is not for everyone. In the course of doing your work, particularly for those doing frontline work, you will be exposed to the trauma of others. The youth we serve may also experience overdose, physical harm perpetuated by self or others and even death. Because we provide a relational model of care, the harms our youth experience can impact us in varying degrees.While we provide training for youth workers on avoiding what we call vicarious trauma (namely, the trauma you can experience or take on by hearing other’s traumatic stories), and a generous allowance for counselling, it is still difficult work that can and does take its toll on many employees. Self-awareness and self-care are key. Some candidates and employees decide during the recruiting and probationary periods that this work isn’t for them, and that is totally fair.We will provide more information on vicarious trauma during recruiting and on-boarding, to help you decide if Covenant House is the place for you.DIGITAL MARKETING COORDINATORThe Impact the Digital Marketing Coordinator can make:The Digital Marketing Coordinator will work with Covenant House Vancouver (CHV)’s Marketing, Communications, and Philanthropy teams on digital marketing strategies that support the organization’s fundraising, branding, and other communications strategies.This position is responsible for informing and executing marketing strategies, as well as creating content on digital platforms that enhance CHV’s online presence and engagement with an emphasis on donor-related communications.The role is suitable for someone who is creative, adaptable, and collaborative; loves to do values-aligned storytelling; and is seeking an opportunity to put their digital expertise into practice for an organization that has a positive impact in their community.How you will contribute:Manage and optimize digital content as part of CHV’s overall marketing strategy, under the direction of the Marketing Manager.Plan, execute, and track online campaigns across social media, email, and websites.Support the execution of fundraising campaigns, including content development for donation pages, campaign landing pages, email marketing activities, and digital advertising in collaboration with philanthropic team.Generate reports and analyze data performance metrics, making recommendations to improve campaign performance, audience engagement, and fundraising outcomes.Maintain and manage digital content calendars, ensuring content is timely, engaging, and aligned with organizational priorities and messaging.Monitor social media channels and identify opportunities to increase engagement, grow audiences, and support community management efforts.Create and coordinate digital content – including social media graphics, photography, video, and written content – in collaboration with Marketing & Communications team. This includes attending and creating content for donor and special events.Stay informed of emerging digital marketing and fundraising trends, platform updates, and best practices, making recommendations based on that knowledgeOther duties as assigned.Who are we looking for?Education and Experience:Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, or a related field; or equivalent work experience in digital marketing, campaign execution, social media, and website management.Experience managing paid digital advertising campaigns, including Meta Ads and Google Ads.Experience with writing and proofreading.Experience developing content across digital channels.Experience using analytics and reporting tools, and making recommendations based on performance metrics.Familiarity with social scheduling software, content management systems, and email marketing tools .Photography, videography, and video editing experience are considered an asset.Experience in fundraising, nonprofit, or mission-driven environments is an asset.Competencies:Strong writing skills for various audiences, including donors and prospective donors.Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills in order to build relationships with all departments to understand their needs, provide guidance on best practices, and ensure timely updates and enhancements.Takes personal ownership and responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work commitments.Responds positively to change, embracing and using new practices and technologies to accomplish goals and solve problems.Considers issues from various angles, develops multiple solutions, and adapts approach as required.Works cooperatively and effectively with others to reach a common goal, participating in group activities and attends team meetings, helping to foster a team environment.Shares ideas, challenges, and solutions with the team.Additional Position Information:The schedule is as follows: M-F 8am-5pmIn 2024, we were recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 EmployersDiversity, Equity & InclusionCovenant House Vancouver is a secular organization that welcomes and serves young people from all backgrounds.
