The Opportunity:

The Edmonton Journal-Edmonton Sun newsroom is seeking a full-time Digital Editor who will lead our digital operations and strategy. Excellent leadership qualities and knowledge of online news presentation are required, as well as the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced multimedia news environment.

Working remotely for the Edmonton newsroom, the successful candidate will be expected to oversee the newspaper’s website, social media channels, newsletter strategy, daily analytics and other digital operations. Candidates must be familiar with emerging digital trends and opportunities and know how to leverage social media and digital platforms to break news and reach audiences.

Compensation:

Employment offers presented to the selected candidate are based on a combination of qualifications, experience, responsibilities of the role and the candidate’s location.

Starting Salary: $65,000-$70,000
