What’s the opportunity? We’re two years into our digital transformation at RBC Insurance and the foundations are set. We’re ready to leverage our new technology, agile processes, and strong design team culture to push what it means to simplify insurance for all Canadians. This role is for an experienced Content Designer who will craft intuitive, inclusive, and human-centered content and UX copy. You’ll collaborate with our designers, product team, and marketing team to deliver content for website experiences, marketing campaigns, and other digital channels. We’re looking for a strategic thinker and hands‑on doer with a passion for making complex content clear and user-friendly.

What will you do?
  • Partner with product and visual designers to build a variety of digital experiences including online applications, online broker portals, website content, and emails.
  • Craft clear, succinct, and approachable content that balances our business goals and user needs, elevating RBC Insurance’s brand wherever possible.
  • Co‑create content strategies and artifacts with our Content Design Lead that help ensure a consistent user experience across all channels.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Information Security, and Regulatory teams to ensure that our digital copy satisfies our regulatory responsibilities.
  • Work with Design Researchers on using qualitative and quantitative insights to inform content decisions.
  • Apply the principles of accessibility and inclusive design in content creation.
  • Create and/or support needs for French translation.
What will you need to succeed? Must haves
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in UX writing, content design, or a similar role.
  • A portfolio illustrating your craft and process, with an emphasis on digital experiences.
  • Demonstrated understanding of content design principles and methods, content standards, style guides.
  • An undergraduate degree in Literature / English, Journalism, HCI, a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to haves
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry, with legal teams, or complex subject matter and requirements.
  • Fluency in French.
