Job summary

Scotiabank in Ottawa, Ontario is seeking an Associate Financial Consultant – Digital Channels to help MD’s clients achieve their financial goals through a tailored, needs-based approach.

You will build rapport, promote products, document client insights in our CRM, collect KYC information, and identify new opportunities while upholding risk controls and Scotiabank values in day-to-day decisions.

Qualifications

• University degree in business, commerce or equivalent.
• Approval as a Registered Representative with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO).
• Life License (LLQP) or a willingness to complete within 12 months.
• Demonstrated knowledge of investment products.
• Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Ottawa.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport and trusted relationships with MD clients through active listening and by understanding what’s important to them.
• Promote MD products and services with clients and prospects, including “disengaged” clients.
• Prepare client contact notes in our CRM tool and identify new business opportunities through proactive mining of your book of business; input financial data from client discovery conversations.
• Lead the collection of deficient Know Your Client (KYC) information on newly assigned and existing accounts, ensuring orders are suitable vis a vis client objectives.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities to prospect and grow the client base, while ensuring retention of clients through trusted relationships and servicing your client book.
• Seek out new opportunities through the active mining of your book of business.
