Job summary

Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation (OLG) is seeking a Digital Business Consultant to partner with business and technology teams, shaping strategy and change initiatives for digital solutions. You will analyze needs, define KPIs, and support rollout and post-implementation success measurements.

You will work under the Sr. Manager Digital Business Analysis to ensure alignment with the Gaming Division's goals and to deliver high-quality business and system artifacts throughout the product

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business analysis methods and processes.
  • Minimum three years as a Business Analyst or similar role in a medium-sized organization.
  • Experience with digital teams and Agile workflows; knowledge of defect tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain partnerships with business and technology stakeholders; lead requirements sessions.
  • Create and manage business and systems analysis artifacts across the product lifecycle.
  • Identify risks and dependencies; support rollout plans and risk mitigation.
  • Assist Product Owners in understanding full solution costs and resources.
  • Define goals, outcomes, KPIs, and acceptance criteria; track metrics for system health.
  • Break down work into epics/features/stories in Kanbanize/JIRA; contribute to testing and UAT plans.
  • Provide hands-on support during test phases to ensure quality user experience.

Digital Business Consultant

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate to support the team and Product Owner by supporting development of strategies and acting as a change agent for development of solutions and the application of technology; The successful individual questions assumptions and requirements, assesses needs, finds gaps, and works closely with subject matter experts. The role gathers and analyzes artefacts to help the Product Owners deliver products (and other initiatives) in alignment with the Gaming Division's strategic goals. The role also supports the product roll-out plan and post-implementation success measurements (i.e., KPIs) to inform future products.

78,400.00 - 117,600.00 CAD

Your Role in the Game

Reporting to the Sr. Manager Digital Business Analysis, you will be empowered to:

  • Build and maintain partnerships with business and technology stakeholders; lead stakeholder analysis and requirements sessions to define business needs, workflows, and system functionality.
  • Create and manage business and systems analysis artifacts throughout the product lifecycle, from inception to ongoing support.
  • Identify risks, constraints, and dependencies; support development of rollout plans and risk mitigation strategies for successful implementation.
  • Assist Product Owners in understanding full solution costs, including vendor engagement and internal resource estimates.
  • Define business goals, outcomes, KPIs, and acceptance criteria; track metrics to monitor system health and performance.
  • Break down development work into epics, features, and stories in tools like Kanbanize or JIRA; collaborate on testing and UAT plans to ensure quality delivery.
  • Act as a flexible resource, going hands on during test phases to ensure an outstanding player experience.
Education & Experience
What You Bring to the Game
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent formal academic training in business and system analysis methods and processes
  • Minimum three years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role in a medium-sized organization
  • Previous business analyst/system analyst experience with digital teams preferred.
  • Experience in test planning, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Prior experience with Agile system of work and defect tracking system (example: Kanbanize and JIRA).
Relevant Skills
  • Competence in conducting various types of independent analysis including skills in data collection, cleaning, and analysis and the ability to extract/ present insights and findings.
  • Ability to communicate complex messages and trade-offs clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Management of testing activities using an Application Life Cycle Management Tool.
  • Development and maintenance of business analysis artifacts (e.g., business requirements, requirements traceability matrix, user stories, epics, use cases, edge cases, etc.)
  • Ability to make real-time decisions and produce high quality output under strict and accelerated timelines with demonstrated 80/20 approach to structure and solution.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform business and system analysis tasks throughout the software development lifecycle from discovery through to production deployment and ongoing operations.
