A regional health authority seeks a Dietitian for its Diabetes Program. The role involves providing nutrition care for clients with diabetes, participating in guideline development, and improving quality care. Candidates must have BC registration and preferably a Diabetes Educator Certificate, along with skills in communication, teamwork, and critical thinking. The position is located in Campbell River, Canada.

The Dietitian-Diabetes Program is a member of a multidisciplinary health care team and provides nutrition care and support to clients living with all types of diabetes in accordance with established policies, standards, and procedures.
Utilizing and applying advanced knowledge and experience in relevant clinical techniques such as insulin dose adjustment, the Dietitian-Diabetes Program provides nutrition services through: nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, client goal setting and monitoring; counseling and education programs for patients/clients; orientation, guidance, and sharing of collegial information or demonstration of equipment or work processes to others including peers, new staff, and students in accordance with professional standards and program objectives.
The Dietitian-Diabetes Program provides input on regional, provincial, and local diabetes services by participating in the development of nutritional practice guidelines and procedures and by participating in research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the program.
