The Opportunity

As an integral part of the HPPA team, the dietitian works in collaboration with other health professionals to implement and deliver holistic services across communities. These services aim to enhance access to nutrition care and education for First Nations populations and to support improved overall health outcomes.

  • Provides nutritional assessment and education to Primary & Home and Community Care clients/families. This may include home visits to housebound clients and outreach services.
  • Provides individual/group education, nutritional assessments, counselling, and client‑focused nutritional plans that support healthy living.
  • Communicates and/or consults with other health care providers regarding treatment goals, planning, and evaluating changes.
  • Practices in accordance with professional standards as outlined by the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
What You Will Bring To The Role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics required; a Master’s Degree is considered an asset.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).
  • Two years’ experience in a clinical health setting or cross‑cultural health promotion field.

Wage Range

The target hiring range for this position is $42.44 to $54.97 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role‑specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
