Job summary

AgeCare Pine Grove is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in preparing and serving meals in a safe, sanitary dining environment in Woodbridge, Ontario. The role involves tray service, dining table setup, and aiding in catering during events.

Must have a Food Handler's Certificate and be enrolled in or possess Food Service Worker Training. Strong customer service, physical stamina, and ability to lift heavy items are required; second language is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Food Handler's Certificate.
• Preference given to individuals with experience in food service and working with seniors.
• Must possess or be enrolled in Food Service Worker Training Program.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items, and stand/walk for the majority of shift.
• Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
• Must provide a complete and current Vulnerable Sector Check (including a criminal background check) or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• To serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• To assist in the set up and service for items such as beverages, salads, desserts, etc.

• To assist with cleaning of dishware, cutlery at the conclusion of each seating as required.
• To assist with catering, and actively participate in special occasions and theme events.
