Qualifications

• Successful completion of a high school diploma or recognized equivalent.
• Food Handler Training Certificate is required.
• Completed Food Service Worker Certificate required or evidence of enrollment in the Food Service Worker Certificate program at time of application with a commitment to complete within two years.
• Knowledge of Best Practices for Prevention and Control of Infection in Health Care Settings.
• Experience with food handling in institutional kitchens required or LTC an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Cook in meal preparation and service.
• Responsible for kitchen cleaning and stocking.
• Maintains dish room cleanliness.
