Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province‑wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview
Experience
  • Previous food service experience preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Successful completion of or completion within the probation period, of a recognized food handling course (i.e. Manitoba Food Handlers) is required.
  • Must successfully complete the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Allergy Awareness and other safety training programs within the probation/trial period.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written, required.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to maintain and execute high standards of safety and sanitation.
  • Must be able to cope in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Minimum standards of efficiency must be achieved.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be capable of accurately performing a variety of repetitive tasks requiring good manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to handle multiple demands in a fast‑paced environment within set time frames and guidelines.
  • Work area may be congested and subject to temperature variations of -20 °C to 25 °C.
  • Lifting, bending, turning, pushing, walking, standing for entire shift may be required.
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • The incumbent is required to work days, irregular shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays in order to meet the demand of continuous operation.
