Job summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a Radiological Technologist for Abbotsford Regional Hospital & Cancer Centre. You will perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, operate imaging equipment, and ensure patient safety and data accuracy in a busy hospital setting.

The role requires CAMRT certification, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with radiologists and health care professionals.

Qualifications

• Certification with CAMRT required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic equipment.
• Ability to perform radiographic examinations in accordance with departmental standards.
• Familiarity with PACS/Radiology Information Systems and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Performs general duty radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures with radiologists and other health professionals.
• Operates radiographic and computerized imaging equipment and archives acquired data.
• Explains procedures to patients and provides instructions as needed.
• Ensures clinical data is collected and records updated in RIS/PACS.
• Prepares contrast agents and sets up trays for procedures; maintains cleanliness of rooms.
• Monitors patient safety and adheres to department standards; contributes to quality improvement.
