Job summary

Horizon Health Network in the Moncton area is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist 2 (DI02) to perform radiography procedures within the Diagnostic Imaging department. The role involves patient preparation, equipment operation and adherence to practice standards.

Qualified candidates must be registered with the NB Regulatory College of Medical Radiation Technologists and able to attend to a rotating schedule including holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the New Brunswick Regulatory College of Medical Radiation Technologists.
• May be required to have training for specialized areas.
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and preparing patients for radiographic procedures
• Preparing and operating equipment
• Performing procedures in accordance with standards of practice
• Assessing images and responding appropriately
• Providing electrodiagnostic services (ECG, Holter) where applicable
• Using clinical information systems to access and maintain clinical records
• Assisting with quality assurance activities
• Mentoring and supporting DI staff, students and other health care professionals
