POSITION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY

The Housekeeping Operations Mentorship Program (HOMP) team will be comprised of elite candidates who are driven to maximize their time and learning opportunities on the resort. Successful HOSTS in this role will be involved in learning positions within the Rooms Division (Housekeeping, and Front Desk).

TRAINING PROGRESSION

This program aims to provide an overview of Rooms Division operations, and unlimited training opportunities across the department within their 16 week training plan.

Housekeeping Room Attendant

The primary responsibility throughout the contract; HOMP’s will be onboarded and fully trained as Room Attendants which will set a foundation for the remaining program. Setting a cleaning routine while adhering to cleanliness standards and efficiencies in all styles of guest rooms.

Housekeeping Delivery / Inventory Attendant

Support your fellow hosts with the delivery of products around the resort, keeping all storage/closet areas stocked and organized. Manage the influx of linen, wash and sort as needed with the support of the Laundry Attendant.

Housekeeping Office Administer

Learn how to open and close the office, and set-up the daily task sheets, run reports, understand Opera, manage the phones and assist in directing your hosts as they complete rooms for the day.

Housekeeping Supervisor

Understand how this role supports our Room Attendants - learn how to inspect rooms, coach your hosts when facing a difficult situation, and manage an ever changing/growing list of priorities.

Front Desk Guest Services Agent

Learn how to check in, and out guests; Assist Guests, Homeowners, and Hosts at the Front Desk via phone calls, emails, and messages.

Bi-Weekly Meetings will be set to review the HOST’s success in following criteria:
1. Room Cleanliness, placement of products/furniture + speed of clean
2. Time + Priority Management
3. Professionalism + Productivity

CREDIT GOALS PER DAY @ 6 WEEKS OF TRAINING
  • Pavilion – 15 Credits
  • Hills – 15 Credits
  • Summits – 15 Credits
  • Bayshore – 15 Credits
  • Greens – 15 Credits
  • Timeshare – 15 Credits
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides daily cleaning and sanitation per standards, including but not limited to guest rooms, storage areas and public corridors.
  • Cleaning of guestrooms includes but is not limited to: making beds, cleaning and sanitizing washrooms, living areas and kitchens, vacuuming and washing of floors.
  • Maintains equipment in a clean and proper working order, reporting any concerns in a timely manner.
  • Ensures correct placement of furniture, fixtures, amenities & equipment.
  • Recognizes and greets all guests, homeowners, and hosts with a smile.
  • Ensures the well-being of our guests and team members by being alert to and reporting potential hazards.
  • Models all Deerhurst Resort Standards while caring for guests, hosts and owners.
  • Responds to direct guest requests in an empathetic and timely manner.
  • Ensures communication of maintenance issues in a timely manner.
  • Provides support per the Emergency Response Plan as directed by the Supervisor, Duty Manager and/or Senior Leader on-site.
  • Completes all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to lift, bend, carry + move constantly 11 to 29 pounds, frequently 30 to 49 pounds, occasionally 50 to 75 pounds.
  • No pre-existing medical or physical conditions that will prevent the applicant from completing the above duties.

Must be eligible to work in Canada.
