What You’ll Do:

- Look for innovative ways to improve observability, monitoring of large scale systems over a variety of technologies across the Numerator organization.
- Participate in the creation of training material, helping teams embrace a culture of DevOps with self-healing and self-service ecosystems. This includes discovery, testing and integration of third party solutions in product roadmaps.
- Build internal-facing tools that demonstrate performance and operational effectiveness to improve training, adoption and understanding of common Software Development and DevOps challenges.
- Drive the team forward by helping refine and plan out tasks and epics during regular sprint planning.
- Expose the team and wider application teams to new tools and technologies when possible and to drive PoCs with third party vendors during the vendor selection process.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Security, or Information Security.
- 4+ years of experience in cloud-based systems across DevOps, IT, Networking, or Software Engineering.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, reliability, availability, and performance engineering.
- Hands-on knowledge of networking, operating systems, databases, packaging/build systems, and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, Loki, Tempo, Mimir).
- Skilled in deploying services with advanced networking, IAM role-based access, and Kubernetes within AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficient in Python, Golang, shell scripting, and rapid prototyping with third-party tools.
- Comfortable using AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot) and pair-programming workflows.
- Experienced in Agile methodologies and capable of managing multiple projects while proactively identifying technical risks.
- Ability to quickly learn, deploy, and manage Kubernetes-based applications and third-party services using Terraform and Ansible.
- Strong documentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
