About the Role

We seek an experienced DevOps Engineer to help build and maintain a scalable, secure infrastructure. You will collaborate with development teams to optimize software delivery, automate processes, and ensure system reliability and security. This is a fast-paced, engineering-oriented environment with minimal management oversight. The position is hybrid (mostly remote) within Pacific or Mountain Time zones.

You Will
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management (servers, networks, databases).
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting tools for system performance and issue resolution.
  • Ensure system security following best practices and security tools, including PCI compliance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve software delivery processes.
  • Diagnose and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements for efficiency and reliability.
  • Participate in on-call incident escalation rotations (one week per person).
You Have
  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency with Linux and cloud platforms like AWS.
  • Scripting skills in languages such as Go, Java, Python, Shell.
  • Experience with HTTP services, networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS).
  • Knowledge of databases like Redis, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
  • Experience with continuous delivery/deployment models.
  • Containerization expertise (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working directly with development teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Must be a resident and eligible to work in Canada.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Proficiency in Java.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English.
  • Experience at scale, with tools like Terraform.
  • Knowledge of microservice architectures.
  • Passion for gaming.
